CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – An Illinois State Police crime scene unit was looking for evidence Monday evening in the parking lot of a vacant building where a Hardee’s once operated in Cahokia Heights.
Nearby residents told FOX 2 there was a shootout earlier in the afternoon.
One resident alleges gunfire was exchanged near the 1600 block of Camp Jackson Rd. That resident asked not to be identified but said it appeared one victim was shot in the leg.
FOX 2 requested information from the Cahokia Heights Police Department and will update this story with any developments.
