MISSOURI – The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train, a festive cross-country holiday tradition on wheels, will roll through parts of Missouri and Illinois in the upcoming days.

Since 1999, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train has traveled across Canada and the United States, decorated to spread holiday cheer while raising money and food donations to support families in need over the holiday season.

The following stops are planned in Missouri and Illinois in the near future:

Illinois

Tuesday, Nov. 26

Franklin Park, Illinois, at Ruby Street Railway Crossing

Approximate time: 7-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Pine Grove, Illinois, at Village Hall (Railroad Street and Reinking Road)

Approximate time: 9-9:30 a.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Byron, Illinois, at Tower Road

Approximate time: Noon to 12:30 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 7

Gurnee, Illinois, at 4460 Old Grand Avenue

Approximate time: 5:15-5:40 p.m.

Missouri

Thursday, Nov. 28

Chillicothe, Missouri, at U.S. Business 36 & Harvester Road

Saturday, Nov. 30

Kansas City, Missouri, at Kansas City Union Station (30 W. Pershing Rd.)

The 2024 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train runs from Nov. 1 through Dec. 20 in its 26th year of “spreading holiday cheer and raising money, food, and awareness for people struggling with food insecurity.”

Canadian Pacific donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages visitors at the pit stops to make a donation.
