ST. LOUIS – Diamond Sports, the parent company of St. Louis Cardinals TV provider FanDuel Sports Network Midwest, has formally announced a multi-year commercial agreement with Prime Video.

The partnership will allow Amazon to offer a direct-to-consumer streams with local access to FanDuel Sports Network content through Prime Video.

Essentially, this opens the door for Prime Video to offer subscriptions for Cardinals’ broadcasts to fans within the designated region for FanDuel Sports Network Midwest.

Additionally, Prime Video plans to stream broadcasts of other professional sports teams carried by FanDuel Sports Network’s 16 regional sports networks and make those broadcasts available to viewers within each team’s respective markets.

Under the agreement:

FanDuel Sports Network RSNs will be available via Prime Video as an add on subscription for customers living within a team’s designated geographic area.

Customers will be able to subscribe to and watch their local FanDuel Sports Network content, including live games and pre- and post-game programming directly through Prime Video.

Amazon will market the availability of FanDuel Sports Network content on Prime Video.

Fans who watch local games through Prime Video will enjoy a seamless and customized viewing experience, as Prime Video allows them to subscribe, manage, and watch their favorite streaming services and sports content in one place.

Financial details of the agreement were not immediately disclosed, and more details on the availability of Prime Video RSN streams will come at a later time.

This deal comes nearly one week after the Cardinals announced a new deal to stick with FanDuel Sports Network Midwest as its TV provider, despite parent company Diamond Sports navigating through bankruptcy proceedings.
