MACOUPIN COUNTY, Mo. – A man faces nine felony charges, including murder, in connection with the death of a Soulard bartender in Macoupin County earlier this month.
The Macoupin County State’s Attorney’s Office has charged Jerald Stilts, 57, in connection with the death of Chuck Parrino Jr.
Stilts’ charges include two counts of first-degree murder, armed violance, aggravated battery, aggravated domestic battery, concealment of a homicidal death, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, obstruction of justice, and unlawful restraint.
Investigators say Parrino was found deceased over the weekend at a home in Macoupin County.
Stilts has a preliminary hearing over charges set for Feb. 5, according to online Illinois court records.
Soulard Bastille announced that funeral services for Parrino are scheduled Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin.
