ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A child reported missing was found unresponsive in a pond Tuesday night in Ballwin.
According to the Ballwin Police Department, officers received a call for a welfare check around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the Retreat at Seven Trail Apartment complex, located on the 500 block of Seven Trails Drive. When authorities arrived, they found parents who had reported their child as missing.
Around 9:43 p.m. Tuesday night, the missing child was found unresponsive in the lower pond at Vlasis Park, police said. The child was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The condition of the child is unknown, according to police. The investigation is still ongoing and no foul play is suspected in the incident.
