ST. LOUIS – A cooler day Tuesday. Sunshine and 30s to start off the day. Increasing clouds later in the day Tuesday, with highs being in the upper 50s. That is actually average for this time of year.
Mostly cloudy Tuesday night, but we stay dry. Our next storm system arrives Wednesday, and it’s actually a two-fer.
A cold front from the west will slide our way, and remnant energy from what was Hurricane Rafael will lift north out of the Gulf of Mexico. These two meet up over the Mississippi River Valley and will bring rain showers to the St. Louis area Wednesday afternoon and evening. Rain is expected to be widespread, but overall rainfall totals will be light.
Rain exits late Wednesday with clearing skies into Thursday. Sunshine is back then through Sunday. It looks like our next rain chance comes in Sunday night into Monday.
