Cori Bush, Wesley Bell react to Biden withdrawing from race

ST. LOUIS – Elliott Davis caught up with local lawmakers Sunday about President Biden’s decision not to run for reelection.

Fox 2 talked to 1st District Congresswoman Cori Bush and her opponent in the Congressional Race, St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell.

Cori Bush talked about what she called the great job President Biden has done in his years as president. She said she respected his decision to drop out of the race. She said she wholeheartedly endorses Vice President Kamala Harris for the job.

Wesley Bell also praised President Biden for his job as president, and he too respected his decision to drop out of the race.

But when asked if he would endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, Bell said he’s not committed to anyone right now and added that the Democratic Party has a lot of good candidates right now .
