MISSOURI — As the home of Anheuser-Busch, Schlafly, and many more iconic breweries, could St. Louis be known as the “best beer city” in the country?
USA Today reports that St. Louis has housed over 100 breweries since the Prohibition between 1920 and 1933. Since then, St. Louis celebrates craft brews at several events during the year, from the St. Louis Beer Fest to the St. Louis Microfest.
St. Louis currently ranks as the second-best “beer city” in the nation, beating Portland, Oregon, and other cities like San Diego, California. Grand Rapids, Michigan, ranked as number one.
St. Louis could still come in as the top “beer city” if readers vote for the region within the next 25 days of the USA Today survey. Go to the USA Today website to vote for St. Louis.
