ST. LOUIS – A couple was carjacked late Saturday evening outside a fast-food restaurant in north St. Louis.

According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, the carjacking happened just prior to 11:30 p.m. District 5 officers responded to the Burger King located in the 5000 block of Natural Bridge Avenue.

Officers met with the victims, a 51-year-old and 42-year-old woman, who said they had bought food at the Burger King and parked their Ford Edge in the lot to eat.

While eating, they noticed two men walk by. Moments later, the two men returned, stood at the Ford Edge’s windows, and pointed guns at the victims. The armed men demanded the victims leave the vehicle.

The suspects drove off in the Edge and tossed the victims’ phones from the window.

The victims told police they had a gun in the vehicle, which was also stolen.
