ALTON, Ill. – The Madison County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim who was hit and killed while riding a motorized bicycle over the weekend in Alton.
58-year-old Steven Coryell was riding the bike along northbound Humbert Road around 6:30 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle.
Coryell was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the coroner’s office, a preliminary investigation shows Coryell suffered from blunt head and chest trauma.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office, along with the coroner’s office, are still investigating the accident.
