ST. LOUIS – Delish is taking over Delmar Boulevard from Union to Kings Highway Friday night for a foodie street fest. The event, running from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., will showcase the thriving culinary scene in St. Louis’ burgeoning Makers District.

Steve Ewing of Steve’s Hot Dogs, a local favorite, gave Fox 2 News a taste of what’s to come. “These are the Saint Louis style dogs right here. The official dog of Saint Louis,” Ewing boasted, describing a mouthwatering creation loaded with provolone, grilled peppers and onions, bacon, smoked pepper mustard, and banana peppers.

But Steve’s Hot Dogs is just the tip of the culinary iceberg. The event will feature several local restaurants, including The Fountain on Delmar, Alpha Brewing, and more. Live music will add to the festive atmosphere, turning Delmar into a vibrant street fair.

The event is part of a larger initiative to revitalize the area. Doug Auer, co-founder of Third Degree Glass Factory, spearheaded the vision to reinvigorate the entire corridor. “When we saw the plans, we really wanted to be a part of that,” Ewing explained.
