ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis Circuit Court judge signed an arrest warrant for a documented gang member accused of a shooting in the city’s Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened on Oct. 28 in the 2500 block of Arlington Avenue.

Police arrived to find the victim on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers learned a vehicle had left the scene immediately after the shooting. That vehicle belonged to Shawn L. Fletcher, 46.

Police received additional information identifying Fletcher, a documented gang member, as the suspected shooter.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Fletcher with first-degree assault and armed criminal action. His warrant stipulates that he’ll be jailed without bond.
