ELLISVILLE, Mo. – Eaton Bussmann, an industrial center based in Ellisville, is expected to lay off dozens of workers later this year.

According to a WARN notice from the State of Missouri’s job website, Eaton Bussmann is planning to lay off 57 employees between April 30 and June 30.

A company spokesperson told the St. Louis Business Journal that “changes in operations” at the site have factored in to the layoffs.

According to Eaton Bussmann’s website, the company specializes in providing protection to power systems for industrial and commercial facilities, and the Ellisville site serves as a center for testing and evaluating electrical components under high-current and short-circuit conditions.

It’s unclear how much of Easton Bussmann’s local workforce will be affected by the layoffs.
