ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Emerson Electric is marking a major milestone Tuesday with the grand opening of its new global headquarters in Clayton. The Fortune 500 company is officially moving from its longtime campus in Ferguson to the new Emerson Tower at 8027 Forsyth Blvd.
The 14-story Forsyth Pointe office development will house hundreds of corporate employees, with Emerson occupying the top three floors and parts of two others.
“This move allows us to right-size our corporate footprint to our headcount needs, capture long-term cost and energy savings that support our sustainability goals, and create a workspace that encourages collaboration, innovation and inclusiveness for our corporate employees,” Emerson CEO Lal Karsanbhai said in June of 2023.
Karsanbhai will deliver remarks at Tuesday’s grand opening, highlighting Emerson’s continued commitment to St. Louis and announcing new philanthropic partnerships in the region.
The move to Clayton is a significant shift for Emerson, which had been headquartered in Ferguson for more than 100 years. The company’s former 200-acre campus was much larger than necessary for its current workforce of approximately 400 corporate employees.
The state-of-the-art Emerson Tower features open floor plans, high ceilings, sustainability features and electric vehicle charging stations. It also offers an acre of green space on the 7th floor, with a garden terrace and fitness center.
Construction wrapped up in May. Emerson’s grand opening and tours for invited guests will happen at 10:30 a.m.
