ST. LOUIS – Eye Thrive, a local non-profit in the St. Louis region, has launched a major fundraising campaign to continue providing free eyeglasses to children.
Since 2004, Eye Thrive has been offering vision care to students in the Gateway City region through its flagship Mobile Vision Clinic program, an optometry center on wheels.
The Mobile Vision Clinic travels to schools and community centers in the bi-state area, providing children from pre-K through eighth grade with free eye exams and eyeglasses. Most eyeglasses are produced aboard the mobile clinic and given to students the same day.
Eye Thrive’s efforts have made a significant impact on children’s vision care in the St. Louis region, and the new fundraising campaign aims to sustain and expand these services.
