SPANISH LAKE, Mo. – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department are investigating after a person was shot and killed late Sunday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Tracy Panus, a police spokeswoman, the shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. outside the Spanish Lake Market, located at the corner of Trampe and Madrid avenues.

Panus said officers found a male in his late teens had been shot multiple times. The victim was rushed to a local hospital but eventually succumbed to his injuries.

No one is in custody for the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
