FERGUSON, Mo. – Residents in Ferguson enjoyed a special visit this weekend ahead of Thanksgiving.
Ferguson Police Chief Troy Doyle and his officers spent part of their weekend delivering turkey dinners to residents in their city.
Chief Doyle joined the Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation to make the kind acts a reality.
“I remember doing this last year in Ferguson,” said Doyle. “From talking to some of the officers, seeing the tears that are coming from some of the residents, it tells me that the need is definitely here.”
Police officers helped Chief Doyle distribute Thanksgiving meals to more than 50 families.
