ST. LOUIS – A vacant home went up in flames in north St. Louis early Sunday morning. Shortly before 2 a.m., the Saint Louis Fire Department was called out to the two-story brick building on Destrehan Street off Blair Avenue.
Firefighters say heavy flames were pouring from the building when they got there. Crews were able to eventually knock down the fire using a ladder truck.
Thankfully, their searches confirmed no one was inside.
Investigators are now working to determine what caused the fire. No injuries have been reported.
