ST. LOUIS – The remnants of what was once Hurricane Beryl will track across Missouri and Illinois on Tuesday, bringing 2 to 4 inches of rain to the region.

With saturated soil and full creeks, streams, and rivers from last week’s and Monday’s storms, flash flooding is a significant concern on Tuesday.

The heaviest rain is expected between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. this afternoon, with the rain tapering off to showers into the evening and then exiting completely overnight. Temperatures will not move much Tuesday at all, hanging in the 70s.

Wednesday will bring clearing skies and highs in the low to mid 80s.

Thursday will bring a chance of afternoon showers and storms, with highs in the upper 80s.

Quiet and hot for Friday and the weekend, highs back in the 90s.
