ST. LOUIS – Kelley Chase, a former St. Louis Blues player and broadcaster, is set to host a charity event on April 4 at the Centene Ice Center to support cancer research.

“I can’t even begin to tell you the frustration, and people tell you, ‘Relax, it will be over,’” Chase said. “It sounds easier than it (really) is.”

Chase, who was diagnosed with leukemia last spring, underwent a bone marrow transplant at the Seidman Cancer Center in December.

“When you get in that state, where you’re almost in delirium, it makes it really hard to focus,” Chase explained.

Despite his battle with cancer, Chase remains goal-oriented, with many things he still looks to forward to accomplishing.

Last year’s, called the Puck Cancer charity event, successfully raised over $600,000 for cancer research. This year, the event will feature a game between the St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks Alumni.

Notable hockey legends such as Brett Hull, Chris Chelios and Keith Tkachuk are expected to attend the event, drawing significant attention and support from the hockey community.

Tickets for the event can be found here.
