NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Robert Quinn, a former St. Louis Rams player, was arrested early Friday following a crash in South Carolina that involved multiple vehicles.

Investigators say that Quinn attempted to leave the scene of the crash in another vehicle prior to his arrest.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to B & N Auto Service on Dorchester Road around 2 a.m. for a crash that involved multiple vehicles.

According to a report from NCPD, firefighters at the scene advised officers that the suspect, later identified as Quinn, was attempting to leave the scene in another vehicle.

A white Dodge Challenger was in reverse as officers arrived. They stopped the vehicle, and the driver told them she was called by her passenger, Quinn, to come and pick him up.

Quinn, who was in the front seat, had visible head and hand injuries with fresh bleeding, according to the incident report provided by the department. They said he was uncooperative in providing information and was slurring his speech.

It was also reported that Quinn was at a nightclub about an hour before the crash.

While investigating the crash, officers reviewed city cameras that appeared to show the vehicle driven by Quinn traveling along Dorchester Road around 2 a.m. when it crossed an intersection, a median, and then traveled onto a property where the crash happened.

The report says Quinn’s vehicle struck the passenger side of a Honda Element, pushed into a blue Ford F-150, and then a purple Chrysler 300 was hit.

Quinn was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of a collision with property damage and reckless driving. He is currently being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Quinn played football for Fort Dorchester High School and later for the North Carolina Tar Heels while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was drafted to play for the St. Louis Rams in 2011. He was eventually traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2018, the Dallas Cowboys in 2019, and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022.

Quinn was previously arrested in August 2023 on charges connected to multiple hit-and-run crashes in the Summerville, South Carolina area.
