ROLLA, Mo. — A former church youth ministry volunteer in Rolla, Missouri, admitted to possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material on Wednesday.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of Missouri, Bradley Thomas Calvin, 52, had at least 833 videos and 5,566 images containing child sexual abuse material.
Colvin admitted to searching for, viewing, and downloading child sexual abuse material for years.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol officer was conducting investigations when Colvin distributed child pornography to the officer through a peer-to-peer file sharing program.
Investigators conducted a search of Colvin’s home, and he admitted during a polygraph examination about touching a minor years prior at a pool party celebrating the end of a vacation Bible school.
Colvin pleaded guilty to one count of receiving and distributing child pornography. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 18. The crime carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said it will ask for 10 years.
