ST. LOUIS – A Franklin County, Missouri, man appeared in federal court on Monday and admitted crossing state lines with the intention of having sex with a child.
Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Scott. M. Arnold-Micke, 48, took the 17-year-old victim to Chicago in 2021, where they used drugs and engaged in sexual acts.
In his plea agreement, Arnold-Micke said he met the victim that summer and they began using drugs on a near-daily basis after Arnold-Micke moved from Sullivan to Rolla.
Arnold-Micke pleaded guilty to one count of transportation of a minor to engage in a criminal act. He’ll be sentenced on April 30.
