ST. LOUIS – A very mild start out the door Tuesday. Morning temperatures are running 20–30 degrees warmer than Monday morning.

Tuesday will be warm and windy through the day, with highs in the mid-80s. Metro St. Louis could easily reach 86 F, which would tie the record set back in 2016. Skies will be a mix of clouds and sun. Winds could gust close to 40 mph Tuesday afternoon. With the dry leaves and grass and gusty winds, fire danger is high.

We stay breezy and mild overnight, with wake-up temps in the 60s on Wednesday. It will be windy and warm again Wednesday, with highs in the low 80s.

A cold front arrives into the early morning hours of Thursday with a good shot at some much-needed rain. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely between midnight and 9 a.m. on Halloween, but then we dry out. Colder air will settle in with the rainfall. Temperatures Thursday afternoon will be in the 60s. Trick-or-treat temps will be in the 50s.

It will be dry and cooler Friday and early Saturday. Watching for more rain Saturday night and Sunday.
