ST. LOUIS – A Hazelwood man appeared in U.S. District Court on Monday to be sentenced for production of child pornography.

Prosecutors with the Eastern District of Missouri’s U.S. Attorney’s Office said Antjuan Potts, 27, was first charged in St. Louis County in 2023 with child rape.

The first victim told a county police detectives that she met Potts when she was 14 and had sexual contact with him. Potts recorded that encounter and used a social media account to share videos of that encounter with the victim.

The victim told police Potts was in a similar relationship with another juvenile.

When police interviewed Potts, he admitted having sex with both juveniles and recording the incidents on his phone.

Potts had sex with two other minors. A 15-year-old said Potts sexually assaulted her in 2020. Potts claimed the incident was consensual. He also had intercourse with a 14-year-old in 2021. That victim told investigators she’d been drugged and sexually assaulted.

Potts previously pleaded guilty in August to two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

On Monday, Judge John A. Ross sentenced Potts to 24 years in federal prison.

“You have caused a tremendous amount of harm,” Ross told Potts, referring to the four victims.
