ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Homicide detectives with the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons are investigating a fatal shooting in Hillsdale.
According to a statement from a county police spokeswoman, the shooting happened just before 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 6200 block of Bailey Place.
Officers with the North County Police Cooperative received a call of shots fired around Greer and Kienlen avenues. They found the victim, an adult male, on Bailey suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Hillsdale police asked the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons to take over the investigation.
