ST. LOUIS — A section of the iconic Lemp Brewery in downtown St. Louis collapsed late last night. City authorities are investigating the cause of the latest collapse at the 19th-century landmark.
The brewery, which has stood as a fixture of the St. Louis community since the 1840s, experienced a similar incident in 2020 when a different portion of the building gave way. The massive complex has remained a significant cultural landmark long after ceasing operations, particularly drawing visitors during Halloween season.
Authorities have not yet released information about the extent of the damage or potential safety concerns for surrounding areas.
