ST. LOUIS – For the second time this week, winter snow swept through the St. Louis region.

Following a massive snowstorm Sunday, which dumped up to a foot of snow in some areas near the city, several more inches of snow fell on Friday. The heaviest impacts came for communities south of St. Louis.

St. Louis Lambert International Airport, the flagship reporting station for the National Weather Service in St. Louis, tracked 2.1 inches of snow on Friday.

This round of snow could lead to some slushiness on St. Louis roads. Temperatures will fluctuate between the teens, 20s, and 30s over the next several days. Though it will be mostly dry, it will likely take some time for both rounds of snow to melt.
