ST. LOUIS — During an interview with St. Louis native and actor Sterling K. Brown, Jimmy Kimmel shared his deep distaste for provel cheese and Imo’s Pizza during “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday night.

“The crust is the least of its problems,” Kimmel explained.

Kimmel is known for his distaste towards the St. Louis staple, and Brown attempted to convince him otherwise. Kimmel said he’s even argued with actor Jon Hamm about the issue explaining, “Anyone from St. Louis is so defensive of this pizza place.”

Kimmel explained he had first ordered Imo’s on Valentine’s Day when he was first dating his now wife.

“My first thought was, ‘did I leave the plastic it on when I put it in the oven?'”

Brown suggested Kimmel let the pizza cool a little bit before taking a bit to avoid the runniness of the provel cheese fresh out of the oven.

Kimmel went as far as comparing Imo’s Pizza to ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic that commonly causes vomiting.

“To each his own,” Brown responded.

Later during the show, Kimmel spoke with another St. Louis native and Boston Celtics player, Jay Tatum, about the pizza, who said “it’s the best pizza in the world.”

“It really bonds the people of St. Louis,” Kimmel said.
