WASHINGTON COUNTY, Mo. – A 68-year-old inmate who was serving a life sentence in a St. Louis murder case died Sunday in prison, officials say.
The Missouri Department of Corrections reports that Michael Foote was reported dead Sunday at the Potosi Correctional Center in Washington County, Missouri.
Foote died of apparent natural causes, according to a news release from the Department of Corrections.
Foote was serving a life sentence without parole for a first-degree murder charge in the City of St. Louis. He was transferred to the Missouri Department of Corrections on Aug. 18, 1988.
Officials did not release other details regarding Foote’s death.
