ST. LOUIS — Jon Hamm, an award-winning actor and St. Louis native, will deliver the spring commencement address at St. Louis University this year. The ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. at Chaifetz Arena.

The event will be live-streamed on SLU.edu and archived on the university’s YouTube channel.

Jon Hamm attended John Burroughs School in Ladue, where he played football, baseball, and swam for the school’s teams. He then attended the University of Missouri, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in English.

After graduating, Hamm returned to his alma mater to teach eighth-grade acting for a year before pursuing his own acting career in Hollywood.
