ST. LOUIS – In a big culinary victory for St. Louis, Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria will soon expand its frozen pizza business nationwide, appearing on shelves in Walmart grocery stores next year.
Katie Collier, co-founder of Katie’s Pizza, traveled to Bentonville, Arkansas, last month with chef Jake Sanderson for Walmart’s Open Call event, in which American businesses pitch their products to the mega box-store chain.
Katie’s Pizza was one of only a handful of businesses to receive a golden ticket of a Walmart deal. The frozen pizzas will be available at Walmart in mid-to-late 2025.
Founded in 2013, the St. Louis-based pizzeria and pasta house has three locations in the metro area: Rock Hill, Town & Country, and Ballpark Village.
