ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis area saw between eight and 12 inches of snow fall over the weekend, leaving behind the perfect opportunity for sledding. FOX 2 viewers shared on Facebook their recommended sledding spots around the region, and these were the top suggested.

Art Hill

Obviously, the St. Louis Art Museum’s Art Hill is widely known for its perfect sledding hill, as hundreds have already been partaking in a fun day of sledding since Sunday.

Bommarito Automotive Group SKYFOX flew over Art Hill on Sunday as St. Louisans took to the snow.

Compton Hill

Located at Reservoir Park in the city’s Compton Height’s neighborhood, Compton Hill, located near the Reservoir Park water tower, is historically known as another great spot for sledding in the city with a steady incline.

Marshall Hill

Located in Deer Creek Park in Webster Groves, Marshall Hill has a short yet steep sledding incline, especially for the adrenaline junkies of sledding.

Suson Park

Located in south St. Louis County, Suson Park has small, gentle inclines perfect for kid-friendly sledding.

Legacy Park

A large, steep hill can be seen at the entrance of Legacy Park in Cottleville, Missouri, perfect sledding.

Killer Hill

Killer Hill at the Florissant Civic Center was another sledding incline recommended by FOX 2 viewers. The incline got it’s name from an urban legend about a man that died from a head injury after hitting a telephone pole on the right side of the hill. Despite this urban legend, the hill can see various sledders taking on it’s large incline.

Blum’s Hollow

Blum’s Hollow, located in St. Charles, Missouri, Blanchette Park, is the perfect place for those desiring a variety of sledding experiences. Blum’s Hollow is known for it’s bowl shape that has naturally formed several great sledding opportunities.

Glidden Park

Located in Collinsville, Illinois, Glidden Park has an impressive steep hill open to sledding near the Junior Service Pavilion. The park only allows plastic or infatable sleds.

Pleasant Ridge Park

Pleasant Ridge Park, located in Fairview Heights, Illinois, offers several hills, both big and small, with plenty of room to spread out from others.

Miner Park

Glen Carbon, Illinois, offers a popular sledding spot in the metro east, with various hills throughout the area for sledding.
