ST. LOUIS – March 14 is a special day in the St. Louis area, celebrated locally as 314 Day.

Why 314? It’s the area code that symbolizes the culture, pride, and community spirit of St. Louis.

On 314 Day, locals celebrate everything that makes the St. Louis region unique. An unofficial holiday, 314 Day was first widely recognized in 2006 by Terrell “Young Dip” Evans, and “Tatum Polk.”

The numbers “314” also represent the first three digits of the mathematical figure “Pi,” which means St. Louis gets a double dose of fun with pizzas and pies.

On Friday, March 14, several St. Louis area businesses and organizations are celebrating with 314 Day-only deals and events. Here’s a brief look at some of those can’t-miss specials.
