BONNE TERRE, Mo. – The Bonne Terre Mine announced Tuesday that they are closed until further notice due to ongoing litigation.
“As you can imagine, we are extremely saddened by this development,” the press release stated.
The litigation involved the Doe Run Lead Company, according to the announcement. Further details regarding the litigation were not clear.
“It’s encouraging that there is hope for a positive resolution in the future. The mine has such a rich history and unique experiences to offer,” the release added. “Like you, we love Bonne Terre Mine and the friendships we’ve developed with our staff and our guests.”
