ST. LOUIS – The snow may have moved on, but the frigid winter temperatures have not.
Our focus turns from snow to the big cold that will continue to sink in over the next few days. It’s a key winter combination of snow on the ground and an Arctic airmass that provides the coldest temperatures.
Highs over the next few days will struggle to rise, and lows will be in the single digits. While winds are calming after our latest storm, even a slight breeze will feel pretty cold.
There is not much warming long-term. Another storm system will raise up from the Gulf on Friday and give us another shot of snow. Too early for numbers, but this has a track that could give us more accumulations. Stay tuned.
