ST. LOUIS – The Major Case Squad reported on Saturday morning that they arrested a person of interest in a north St. Louis County homicide case. The homicide happened around 3:20 a.m. on April 23, 2025 in the Beverly Hills Neighborhood.
The man arrested has been identified as 32-year-old Arvid Wilkerson of St. Louis, MO.
On April 23, the police responded to the 6900 block of Greenway Avenue in Beverly Hills, MO and found a man dead in the street from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Darryl K. Scott of Beverly Hills, MO. The Major Case Squad was activated and they say that twenty-two detectives were assigned to help with the investigation.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has issued Wilkerson with charges for First Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Wilkerson is in custody at the St. Louis County Justice Center and is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
Investigators say they appreciate the cooperation of those who helped with this case. They say they cannot bring offenders to justice without the help of the community, and they hope that their efforts can bring some peace to Mr. Scott’s family.
