SWANSEA, Ill. – A man accused of driving under the influence in a deadly Metro East crash last spring now faces felony charges.

Prosecutors with the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office have charged Jacob T. Hall, 23, with aggravated DUI causing death and reckless homicide amid the investigation.

The Swansea Police Department reports that Karlie Langley, 27, died in the crash, which happened May 2 on North Illinois Street.

Investigators say that Hall was the driver of a vehicle involved in the crash and later determined he was driving under the influence. Hall is now jailed in St. Clair County.
