Detectives with the St. Louis Anti-Crime Task Force initially responded to Tucker Boulevard and Spruce Street after a report of a stolen white Acura ILX. Detectives later spotted the vehicle near the 300 block of North 22nd Street.

Investigators say a man with a handgun came out of the driver’s door, while another man with an AR pistol came out of the front passenger’s seat. Detectives then approached both men, who reportedly dropped their weapons and tired to run away.

The suspects, 24 and 19 years old, were both caught after a brief foot pursuit.

After the arrests, detectives noticed the victim crawling out of a rear passenger’s door with apparent gunshot wounds.

Investigators have not yet disclosed whether any charges have been filed or any potential motive the led up to the victim shot.
