ST. LOUIS – A man will spend 15 years in prison for a deadly stabbing that happened more than a decade ago in south St. Louis.
According to our partners at the St. Louis Post Dispatch, 44-year-old Andrew Barnett got into an argument with another man at The Little Bar on Alabama Avenue. Police say when the victim left the bar, Barnett was waiting outside, armed with several knives.
He stabbed the man in the neck and abdomen, leaving him paralyzed and dependent on a respirator. The victim later died from his injuries.
Barnett pleaded guilty to murder last week and was sentenced yesterday.
