ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man was jailed last week after allegedly shooting his neighbor following a verbal dispute.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened on Oct. 27 in the 4100 block of Peck Street, in the city’s Fairground neighborhood.
Police said Lago Johnson, 47, shot his neighbor in the back and abdomen.
Officers later searched Johnson’s home and found several firearms and ammunition matching the caliber of bullet on the victim’s injuries.
The victim is expected to survive the shooting.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office charged Johnson with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. Johnson was jailed without bond.
