ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man was hospitalized Monday afternoon after being shot in the city’s Kingsway East neighborhood.
According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred just after 12:25 p.m. in the 4900 block of St. Louis Avenue. Officers initially responded to a shooting call in the 5500 block of Clemens and located the victim there.
However, the victim told police he was shot at St. Louis Ave. and Kingshighway Boulevard, where a prior ShotSpotter call came out.
EMS took the victim to the hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition.
The suspected shooter is described as a Black man with a thin build, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and white shoes.
