ST. LOUIS – Detectives with the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department are seeking an unidentified man and his vehicle after leaving the scene of an accident and shooting the crash victim.

According to police, the unknown man allegedly caused the accident at around 4 p.m. last Tuesday at the Enright Avenue and Kinghighway Boulevard intersection in Academy/Sherman Park.

Reportedly, the suspect was driving a silver Chevy Equinox when he struck a Ford F-150 from behind. When the driver of the Ford pulled over to exchange information, the suspect in the Chevy briefly stopped.

The suspect asked if the driver of the Ford was okay, then fired shots into the Ford before speeding off.
