ST. LOUIS – A Missouri Lottery Player won $100,000 from a scratcher after finding a $10 bill in his pocket.

The man found the $10 bill in his pocket while stopping by a QuikTrip, located at 2166 Hampton Avenue. While at the gas station, the man decided to use part of the cash he found to test his luck by purchasing the $5 “Heaps of $500” scratcher ticket.

“I used $5 of it to buy gas, and then I used the other $5 to buy a Scratchers ticket,” he said.

The man had previously played the “Heaps of $500” ticket but had never found luck in winning a prize.

“I’ve actually been playing that ticket for a week or so, and I didn’t win anything,” the player shared. “And I thought I’d try it one more time.”

That previous attempt ended up turning into one of the game’s $100,000 top prizes, leaving not only him but others in disbelief.

“I got in the car and I called my wife and she didn’t believe me,” he joked. “It wasn’t until I got home and showed her that she believed me.”
