ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Dellwood man with pending felony cases in St. Louis and St. Charles counties appeared in court on Thursday morning for burglarizing apartments in Maryland Heights.

According to the Maryland Heights Police Department’s probable cause statement, the crimes took place on Feb. 27, and March 16, 17, and 20, at apartment complexes in the 2200 block of Renault Drive and the 2200 block of Palestra Drive, respectively.

Police said Anthony L. Ward (age not provided) stole a combined $3,185 from three different apartments, as well as credit cards and legal paperwork from one residence. The stolen credit cards were later located at a nearby ATM.

Ward was taken into custody on March 25 when police served a search warrant at his residence. The victim’s stolen legal documents were found in the home, police said.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Ward with four counts of second-degree burglary, three counts of stealing, and one count of stealing – $750 or more. A future court date was not listed in online records at the time of publication.

According to police, Ward has pending cases in St. Louis County for unlawful possession of a firearm in April 2024 and stealing and fraudulent use of a credit card in June 2024. He has additional pending cases in St. Charles County for stealing in April 2024 and resisting arrest in June 2024. Ward also has numerous guilty pleas, convictions, and terms of imprisonment in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
