ST. LOUIS — Dangerous road conditions and staffing challenges forced Bi-State Development to suspend Metro bus and Call-A-Ride services until at least 8 a.m. in St. Louis Monday morning, while MetroLink trains remain operational.
Bi-State Development President and CEO Toby Roach said nearly 10 buses got stuck during the morning commute, prompting the temporary suspension. “We had some problems getting operators in,” Roach said during a morning news interview. “We just need a little time to catch up.”
MetroLink service continues to run as operators worked overnight to keep rails clear. Roach emphasized that Metro Transit employees are working hard to restore full service, but they need time for road conditions to improve.
Passengers who rely on Metro buses and Call-A-Ride services are advised to seek alternative transportation, while MetroLink riders should plan for extra travel time.
Call-A-Ride customers with reservations are being contacted directly. For updates, customers can call 314-982-1505.
