MISSOURI — The Missouri Department of Health announced on Monday it had revoked the licenses of 25 microbusiness cannabis facilities across the state.

The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation, or DCR, had notified 32 microbusinesses that their facilities were pending revocation in October 2024.

The facilities were given 30 days to respond to the allegations and submit records proving their licenses should not be revoked or suspended.

“The microbusiness program is designed to provide an opportunity for cannabis facility ownership to individuals who might not otherwise easily access that opportunity,” according to the Missouri Department of Health website.

According to the DCR, microbusiness dispensaries operate on a smaller scale than medical or comprehensive licenses. Instead, their owners must meet at least one qualification, such as having a net worth of less than $200,000 or being a veteran who was disabled while serving.

After reviewing documentation submitted by the notified facilities, seven were satisfied, while 25 were revoked for failure to prove eligibility for the program.
