For nearly eight hours this week, a house committee heard testimony on a handful of bills that would repeal the expiration date on a ban for transgender minors to access gender-affirming care—like puberty blockers or hormone treatment. That law was set to expire in 2027.
And now, newly unified GOP senators say making those restrictions indefinite is a priority.
