CRYSTAL CITY, Mo – A resident of Crystal City, Missouri, was killed in a Jefferson County crash when his motorcycle hit a barrier that separated the lanes of Interstate 55. Brandon J. Copeland, 25, of Crystal City, Missouri, was killed in the crash.
Copeland was traveling northbound on I-55 in Jefferson County around 6 p.m. on May 16 when he lost control of his Yamaha MT-09. He veered off to the left side of the road and hit the center cable barrier. Copeland was then thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District personnel.
