ST. LOUIS – The superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) is set to retire in 2025.

Colonel Eric Olson will officially retire in February after 34 years with the patrol. Governor-elect Mike Kehoe has already announced Major Michael Turner as Olson’s replacement.

If confirmed by the Missouri Senate, Major Turner will become the patrol’s 25th superintendent starting Feb. 1.
